Terms and Conditions for Purchase and Shipment:
This note is intended to lay out answers you might have about pricing, purchasing and shipping of my artwork. Please refer to each work by its identifying number to avoid any confusion, e.g., # 3-2015.
And please note that, as of this writing, I am only accepting purchases from within the United States. As the business grows and I gain a broader reach through the website, I will entertain broadening the scope of purchases.
Ready to Hang?
* Most paintings are ready to hang:
- paintings on paper, framed under mat and glass
- paintings on cradled wooden panel, with wire hanger.
* Some paintings are currently unframed: on paper or on wooden panels. Your choice would be to have me get the piece framed to your liking or to have me send it along for you to have it framed, which would involve considerably less shipping costs. Framing the work on my end usually can be done within two weeks but will depend entirely on the framer, who is excellent and accommodating but busy, especially in the summer.
Pricing:
* Most pricing of work has been listed on the Gallery page in the website.
* For artwork in the website that is currently hanging in a gallery exhibit, which is noted on the Gallery page, please contact the gallery owner for pricing.
• For all other work, like that shown in a newsletter, I would be glad to respond by email to a request for more information.
• We reserve the right to revise prices at any time prior to accepting an Order.
• The prices quoted may be revised by the Company subsequent to accepting an Order in the event of any occurrence affecting delivery caused by government action, variation in customs duties, increased shipping charges, higher foreign exchange costs and any other matter beyond the control of the Company. In that event, You will have the right to cancel Your Order.
Purchase:
* Once we have agreed upon a price by email, I will send you an electronic invoice that will include the artwork, any tax and estimated shipping costs. I will do my best to get this invoice out the next business day.
* I will accept a personal check. Once your check has cleared at my bank, I will begin the shipping process.
Shipping:
* Any unframed work can be carefully packaged in the studio and shipped to you by USPS, UPS or Fedex depending on your preference, as well as the size and weight of the shipment and your location Shipping cost will include packing supplies, labor and transportation fees.
* Framed work that involves glass will need to be packaged professionally through our local packaging store. Per agreement between you and me, this may include addition shipping costs that may be invoiced separately.
* Timing in receiving your shipment will be an estimate, but shipment out should occur within 5 business days from payment received-in-full for the painting. If there is an unexpected delay, I will email you about it.
* If you live or are vacationing in the Berkshire area, you are welcome to pick up the painting at the studio. We can arrange time and place by email.
Returns:
* Damage in shipping: All packaging will be done to my absolute best, seeing that I care very much that the painting arrives in perfect condition. But if damage should occur in shipping, please email me within 5 days with a photo of the damage. If I agree that it’s warranted, I’ll accept the return of the painting if it is packaged as well as it was originally shipped, and sent out by the same carrier. I will refund your purchase within 14 days, using the same means of payment as you used for the Order, and you will not incur any fees for the reimbursement.
* Dissatisfaction: If the painting does not match up to your expectations, remember that color and lighting vary somewhat between electronic devices. I have spent effort making sure from my end that the painting is as true as possible from painting to camera to website. But, I want you to be happy with your purchase, so please email me within 7 days of receipt, and we can talk.
